The Riese & Müller Tinker Vario ebike is an electric bike that takes compact to a new level. It is small in stature and is renowned for its agility, handling and comfort. This is an ebike that can be sporty touring bike one day, urban runaround the next, holiday vehicle the next. It comes with smooth and easy-to-use Enviolo internal hub gears and carbon belt drive for ultra-low maintenance and is powered by the almost silent Bosch Performance motor. Everything it is equipped with is to the highest standard from the thudbuster suspension seatpost, front suspension and balloon tires which give it light offroad capability to the Supernova headlight, Selle Royal saddle and quick clip cargo box to carry gear. The big of little EBikes
Rides like a big bike. The convenience of a compact. Although the Riese & Müller Tinker Vario ebike is a compact bike it performs like a 'big bike'. It is fully equipped with excellent accessories such as Supernova lighting and agile, beautifully balanced and very manoeuvrable. Front suspension and balloon tires offer light offroad capability and the thudbuster seatpost will guarantee extra comfort no matter what terrain you ride.
Riese & Muller have cleverly designed adjustable handlebars to make it easy to interchange riders and fine tune the ride position for any rider. The attention to detail in the ergonomics and the handlebar adjustability, combined with the superb power and acceleration of the Bosch Performance motor means this is an ebike for any rider. Although not a pure folding bike, it has foldable handlebars, adjustable seatpost and folding pedals so it can easily be stored in the back of a car or caravan.
Riese & Muller have also developed a handy rear cargo platform with a quick release cargo box. This is optional ($109) and is an excellent solution for someone looking to use their Tinker as a cargo carrier or car substitute.
A perfect pairing - Enviolo 380 gears and Gates belt drive
Simplify your life. To make your riding experience as comfortable and easy as possible, Riese & Müller have equipped the Tinker with the Enviolo 380 continuous hub gears paired with the revolutionary carbon Gates belt drive (think Harley Davidson). The internal gears allow you to change your gears in one continuous motion. Just twist the shifter and the gear ratio is changed to any ratio within its 380% range.
The best thing about this system is that you can change while you are stationary. Instead of having a traditional chain the Riese & Müller Tinker is also fitted with a belt drive. Gates Corporation, leaders in this technology, have adopted motorcycle technology to electric bicycles to provide a 'chain' that can easily handle the higher loads and pressures of ebikes. The belts last longer than chains and you no longer have to worry about chain maintenance and messy chain grease.
