Rocky Mountain took the Altitude's legendary race proven handling and ride quality and integrated the most powerful drive system on the market and bam: one of the most powerful, most capable e-mountain bikes ever. The Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay has wowed the crowds from Day 1 and the highly anticipated new MY22 model is their best yet.
The 2022 Altitude Powerplay is an aggressive enduro eMTB with 170mm/160mm travel. It now runs on 29" wheels with a slack 63.5 degree head angle, ultra short chainstay and low centre of gravity for great downhill and technical riding. The Altitude has always been known for its legendary handling and ride quality and with a frame and e-drive system designed to honour this reputation it is a thrilling bike to ride.
The Altitude Powerplay Alloy 70 model comes equipped for action with the combo of 170mm Fox 38 forks up front and 160mm rear travel with a Fox Float X Performance shock. The WTB 29" rims run on 2.5" wide Maxxis Assegai tubeless ready tires with cushcore inserts and gearing is a Shimano XT 12-speed system.

With a bespoke motor Rocky Mountain are able to design their e-mountain bikes to reflect the ride quality of their highly evolved non-motorized bikes. The Dyname 4.0 drive system is a completely redesigned system for 2022 . It offers the same amazing power and ride experience, is almost silent, comes with a bigger battery, easier servicing and maintenance and greater customisation options for fine tuning your power settings.
With 108NM torque it is one of the most powerful climbing motors on offer. It's not just a headline number though.
The motor offers instant acceleration and responsiveness thanks to its inline torque sensor and it climbs like a mountain goat. With the new inframe 'Jumbotron' display (named with a nod to RM's Canadian links) you can fine tune your power settings for how you prefer to ride.
The new system comes with a large slimline 720Wh battery and can be easily removed. A piggy-back second battery with an extra 314Wh is also available if you need more range.
