Altitude Powerplay Carbon eMTB: Push New Boundaries

Rocky Mountain took the Altitude's legendary handling and ride quality and integrated the most powerful drive system on the market and bam: one of the most powerful, most capable e-mountain bikes ever. With v1 it impressed with its gorgeous, clean look and a ride feel that was as good as a non-motorized mountain bike and it has only gotten better.

Rocky Mountain designed their own drive system, the Dyname 3.0, so they could retain the geometry and great handling characteristics of their non-motorized models rather than having to design a frame around an off-the-shelf drive system. It was worth the wait.  The Altitude Powerplay is a true no-compromise e-mountain bike.

Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay C50 eMTB

The Altitude has a sporty mountain bike geometry with a slack 64.5 / 65 degree head angle, ultra short chainstay and low centre of gravity for great downhill and technical riding. Optimised suspension kinematics such as the Rocky Mountain RIDE-9 adjustment system and Smoothlink suspension allows riders to quickly fine tune their geometry and suspension.

The Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay Carbon 50 model is lighter weight with its carbon frame, and it comes well equipped for action with Sram NX-1E gearing, 160mm front suspension via RockShox Lyrik Select RC forks and RockShox Deluxe Select+ RT rear shock and a Race Face dropper seatpost. The 27.5" wheels are agile and flow-ready and you can convert to tubeless in a flash with the tubeless ready rims and tires.

The Dyname 3.0 Drive System. The Most Powerful Mid-Drive Available.

With a bespoke motor Rocky Mountain are able to design their e-mountain bikes to reflect the ride quality of their highly evolved non-motorized bikes. The Dyname 3.0 drive system is different from other motors in many ways and the ride is sensational.

First up you have to mention the torque. 108Nm! The most powerful climbing motor on offer on Australia. It's not just a headline number though. The motor offers instant acceleration and responsiveness thanks to its inline torque sensor and climbs like a mountain goat.  Thanks to the high capacity 672Wh battery you can climb further, higher and faster than on any other ebike and, but for the sound of the chain feeding through the guides, its quietness and seamless integration make it hard to distinguish as an ebike.

An iWoc Trio handlebar mounted remote controls the motor with just three buttons - including a very strong 'ludicrous' mode -  and all information can be accessed through an app on your phone. Riders can select from three assist levels plus a walk assist mode.

With a three-year warranty on the electrics (two for the battery) and a design that allows for quick and easy servicing you have peace of mind on reliability and serviceability as well.
