  Electra Bicycle Company was founded in California in 1993 by Benno Bänziger, a Swiss product designer, whose roots in snowboarding design sent him down a path of designing bicycles that bring your inner fun out. Electra are famous for their 'cruisers', their 'hot rods' and their 'choppers' - fun, retro classics that are beautifully made, and now with the added benefit of more oomph with an electric motor.
