What types of electric bike deals does EBB offer?
Our specials collection covers four types of deals. Ex-demo bikes are bikes that have been used for test rides in our Milton store — they're in near-new condition, fully serviced, and discounted from the retail price. Last-of-the-line models are bikes being cleared because a new model year has arrived or the brand has updated the range — same quality bike, cleared at a lower price. End-of-season clearance covers previous-year stock we're moving through to make room for incoming models. And occasionally we offer a deal simply because we think it's exceptional value and worth flagging — these are bikes we'd ride ourselves and are happy to recommend at any price.
Are ex-demo electric bikes worth buying?
Yes — for most buyers, an ex-demo e-bike from a reputable dealer is one of the smartest purchases in cycling. At Electric Bikes Brisbane, every ex-demo bike is workshop-inspected and serviced before it goes on sale. The motor system, battery, and drivetrain are checked and any wear items replaced if needed. Ex-demo bikes typically have low kilometres — most of ours have been used for in-store test rides only — and they carry the same warranty support as new bikes. The saving versus new is real: our ex-demo models are typically discounted 15–35% from full retail.
How often does the EBB specials collection change?
Stock changes regularly — sometimes daily. New bikes are added when ex-demo models are cleared from our floor, when new-season stock arrives and previous-season bikes are discounted, or when a brand offers us a run-out deal. Some lines sell within hours of being listed, particularly last-of-the-line models in popular sizes. What's the difference between a last-of-the-line bike and an ex-demo?
A last-of-the-line bike is a new, unridden bike — it's the final unit or size of a model that's being replaced or discontinued. It hasn't been used; it's simply at the end of the run. These are often the best-value bikes in our specials collection because you're getting a brand-new bike at a clearance price. An ex-demo bike has been ridden — typically by customers during test rides in our Milton store. Both are fully serviced and workshop-ready before sale. The main difference is condition (new vs. lightly used) and price — ex-demos are usually discounted more steeply.
Do the electric bikes in the specials collection come with a warranty?
Yes. All bikes in our specials collection — including ex-demos and last-of-the-line models — are sold with the manufacturer's standard warranty. For Bosch motor systems, this covers the motor and battery for two years. Frame warranties vary by brand (Kalkhoff, Focus, Riese & Müller, Tern, Moustache, and Orbea each carry their own frame warranty terms). Our workshop in Milton handles all warranty service and ongoing support — you're not dealing with a third party. We've been servicing the bikes we sell since 2013.
Can I test-ride a bike from the specials collection?
Yes. All bikes in our specials collection — including ex-demos and last-of-the-line models — are sold with the manufacturer's standard warranty.
