FAQs
If you're looking for an Amflow electric bike in Brisbane, Electric Bikes Brisbane is an authorised Amflow dealer. We've been helping SE QLD riders find the right ebike since 2013, and the Amflow range is one of the newest additions to our floor. These are performance-focused full-suspension eMTBs built around the Avinox drive system — the motor that won the Eurobike Gold Award in 2024. The range is expanding: currently PX and PR Carbon platforms, with the new TL Carbon arriving from around August 2026.
Why Brisbane Riders Choose Electric Bikes Brisbane for Amflow
- Authorised Amflow dealer: We are an authorised dealer with full access to warranty support, firmware updates, and the complete Amflow range as it arrives in Australia.
- In-house Avinox diagnostics: Our workshop can run motor diagnostics and firmware updates on-site — no need to send bikes back through the distributor.Â
- Test rides at Milton: We carry a test ride model of each series as stock allows. There are steep local hills near Wesley Hospital that give you a genuine feel for the motor response and bike handling before you commit. Free parking out front.
- Bike setup included: Every Amflow sale includes a full bike setup with Avinox Ride App walkthrough so you leave the store knowing how to make the most of the bike and system.
- Established 2013: Brisbane's longest-running specialist ebike retailer. We ride every bike we stock across the categories we carry — so our advice comes from experience, not just the spec sheet.
Riding Amflow eMTBs in Brisbane and SE QLD
Sam from our team rode the PX Carbon Pro on the test hills near our Milton store when the first units arrived in store earlier in 2026. On the steep pinch near Wesley Hospital, the motor response was immediately noticeable — very direct and aggressive in its pickup, but not surgy. It pulls cleanly and proportionally from the first pedal stroke. For the PX platform specifically — Category 4 all-mountain geometry, fixed 700 Wh battery — Gap Creek Reserve is the natural home ground: Lorikeet and Bandicoot for technical fast flowy loops, Ironbark for Kombi and Sunset when you want sustained climbing and flow. The PR Carbon and PR Carbon Pro are different briefs: removable battery, more versatile geometry, suited to longer days on the Lake Manchester loop, or the Noosa Biosphere where range and flow matter more than outright aggression. The incoming TL Carbon sits in a third space — lighter trail geometry with M2 motor, designed for everyday trail riding and capable of being set up for touring and commuting.
The Amflow Range — Which Platform Suits You?
The Amflow range currently runs across three platforms, each with a distinct brief:
-  • Amflow PX Carbon / PX Carbon Pro (M2S, Category 4): Fixed 700 Wh integrated battery. Unlocks the full 1,500 W in all modes. Aggressive trail geometry. Best suited to technical singletrack and descents. PX Carbon Pro in stock now.
-  • Amflow PR Carbon / PR Carbon Pro (M2 / M2S): Removable 800 Wh battery. More versatile geometry. PR Carbon (M2); PR Carbon Pro (M2S). Expected in store mid-to-late July 2026.
-  • Amflow TL Carbon (M2 — coming soon): Shorter travel, lighter trail geometry. Everyday trail riding, touring and commuting capable. Expected from around September 2026. Register your interest.
The main decision between PX and PR is battery setup — fixed vs removable — and geometry. For a full breakdown see our 2026 Amflow PX vs PR Guide.
Is Amflow Right for You?
Amflow rewards riders who want to engage with the system. The Avinox app gives you real-time power and torque data, four independently tunable ride modes, and progressive software that evolves with firmware updates. Customers who come in are typically experienced trail riders who've already researched Avinox online — they come to confirm the bike presents the way they expect, check sizing, and see the app in action.
If you prefer to get on a bike and ride without configuring software, or if advanced tech isn't what excites you about riding, a Bosch-powered eMTB may suit you better — Bosch delivers an excellent ride out of the box without requiring any app tuning. We stock both systems and will help you work out which suits how you ride.
Frequently Asked Questions About Amflow Electric Bikes in Brisbane
Is the Amflow available to test ride in Brisbane?
Yes — we carry a test ride model of each Amflow series as stock allows at our Milton store. Currently the PX Carbon Pro is available for test rides. The PR Carbon and PR Carbon Pro are on order and expected in store mid-to-late July 2026. Test rides are on the hills near Wesley Hospital — steep enough to give you a genuine feel for the motor at full effort. Call ahead to confirm availability and sizing.
Is the Amflow eMTB legal to ride in Queensland?
Yes. All Amflow bikes use the Avinox M2 or M2S motor, both of which carry EN 15194 certification with a 250 W continuous rated power output — the standard that defines a legal ebike under Australian law. No licence, registration, or compulsory insurance is required. The high peak power figures (up to 1,500 W on the M2S) refer to short-burst Boost mode output, not the continuous rated power the law measures. The motor cuts off at 25 km/h, enforced by firmware. See our Queensland E-Bike Laws guide for the full detail.
What is the difference between the Amflow PX and PR?
The two main differences are battery setup and geometry. The PX has a fixed integrated 700 Wh battery; the PR has a removable 800 Wh battery you can charge off the bike or swap for a second. The PX geometry is more aggressive — suited to technical trail and enduro riding. The PR geometry is more versatile, better suited to longer mixed-terrain days, rail trails, and adventure riding. Both PX Carbon Pro and PR Carbon Pro use the M2S; the PR Carbon base uses the M2.
Does the Amflow require servicing at a specialist workshop?
Standard mechanical servicing can be done at any quality bike workshop. Motor diagnostics, firmware updates, and Avinox-specific fault-finding benefit from a workshop with the right tools. Our Milton workshop can run Avinox diagnostics and firmware updates in-house. Note: high-torque motors accelerate drivetrain wear — budget for more frequent chain and cassette replacement than on a lower-powered eMTB.
