EBB Owners Club Orange 360 Adventure Diary
Six Days. 376km. Endless Smiles. One Epic eBike Adventure.

There’s something special about riding through regional Australia in autumn. Crisp mornings, golden vineyards, rolling gravel roads, country bakeries, tiny pubs and endless open landscapes. Add a group of passionate riders on premium electric bikes and you get the perfect recipe for an unforgettable tour.

Our latest EBB Owners Club adventure saw a group of Electric Bikes Brisbane customers tackle the incredible Orange 360 route in regional New South Wales — a six-day cycling journey looping from Orange, through Molong, Canowindra, Cowra, Neville Siding, Millthorpe and returning to Orange.

And yes… they completed the entire route on electric bikes. Successfully. Comfortably. Smiling most of the way.

More than just a ride, this trip showcased what the EBB Owners Club is all about: community, adventure, support, preparation and helping our customers get more out of their bikes long after they leave the store.

Note: Participation in these organised Owners Club adventures is an exclusive experience available to Electric Bikes Brisbane customers.

Day 1 — Orange to Molong
64km of sunshine, vineyards and autumn colours

Day 1: Orange to Molong 64km of sunshine Bike route | Electric Bikes Brisbane

Orange absolutely turned on the weather for Day 1, delivering blue skies and perfect riding conditions from the very beginning.

The ride began with a leisurely climb and short walk to Pinnacle Lookout just outside Orange, rewarding riders with spectacular panoramic views across the region. From there, it was a fun downhill run toward Lake Canobolas, where the group completed a scenic lap around the lake before continuing on through vineyards, orchards and grazing country.

The mix of sealed roads and gravel paths set the tone for the week ahead — this was going to be a true adventure ride.

A highlight stop came at Hilltop Harvest orchard in Borenore, where riders refuelled with coffee, lunch and some of the freshest apples imaginable — literally picked straight from the trees.

From there, the group rolled into Molong to complete a brilliant opening day.

Day 2 — Molong to Canowindra
94km, gravel roads and a frosty 5-degree start

Day 2 was always going to test the group. The morning began in chilly conditions, with temperatures sitting around 5 degrees as riders rolled into Lime & Stone café in Molong right on opening time for much-needed coffee and breakfast before departure.

Once underway, the route opened into expansive farmland landscapes, with quiet gravel roads helping avoid busy traffic routes. Riders passed through Manildra, Cudal and Cargo, enjoying flowing descents, steady climbing and endless country scenery.

Despite tackling around 800m of climbing, the group made excellent time and arrived into Canowindra with enough energy left to enjoy a well-earned pub dinner.

A huge day in the saddle — and the group handled it brilliantly.

Day 3 — Canowindra to Cowra
A shorter spin… but not without drama

Day 3 — Canowindra to Cowra Japanese Gardens | Electric Bikes Brisbane

Compared to Day 2, the 45km run into Cowra felt positively cruisy.

The route wound through beautiful farmland and quiet country roads, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the scenery and the occasional curious furry spectator along the roadside.

But the infamous Cowra cathead thorns made their presence known.

Flat tyres started appearing, and repair kits came out. Thankfully, we were able to get them repaired, although they continued to make their presence known well after the trip!

In Cowra, the riders who weren't repairing punctures had the opportunity to explore the famous Japanese Gardens and enjoy a relaxed afternoon ahead of what everyone knew would be the biggest challenge of the week.

Day 4 — The Big One
83km and 1300m of climbing

Day 4 — The Big One 83km and 1300m of climbing Ebike Route | Electric Bikes Brisbane

Day 4 is the day that separates the prepared from the underprepared. We were all prepared :)

After already completing three consecutive riding days, riders faced the toughest stage of the Orange 360: 83km with approximately 1300m of climbing across remote gravel backroads.

Fortunately, stunning weather once again delivered ideal riding conditions and the scenery more than rewarded the effort.

The route toward Neville Siding offered some of the most spectacular views of the entire trip, with high country vistas, quiet roads and classic country landscapes stretching in every direction.

The day also included a special celebration — happy 79th birthday to our very own Neville, who tackled the demanding stage like an absolute champion.

There is a story here about Nev's birthday but regardless, he put in an inspiring effort and a reminder that adventure riding has no age limit.

Day 5 — Neville to Millthorpe
Gravel roads, sunshine and country towns

With the toughest day behind them, riders settled into a rewarding 60km ride toward the beautiful historic town of Millthorpe.

The route included another healthy serving of gravel roads, sunshine and scenic countryside, with a memorable stop through the charming village of Carcoar near Carcoar Dam.

By this stage of the tour, the group rhythm was fully dialled in. Riders were moving efficiently, supporting each other and embracing the relaxed touring lifestyle that makes multi-day riding so addictive.

Day 6 — Millthorpe to Orange
One final ride to complete the loop

The final morning started early as the group aimed to beat the incoming rain back into Orange.

After farewelling a few riders in Millthorpe, the remaining crew cruised the final 30km into Orange, officially completing the Orange 360 adventure.

And remarkably, the weather held once again.

Six days. Hundreds of kilometres. Gravel, climbs, punctures, cafés, country pubs and unforgettable memories.

Mission accomplished.

Ride Wrap — Orange 360 By The Numbers

  • Total days riding: 6
  • Total distance completed: Approximately 376km
  • Biggest climbing day: 1300m elevation
  • Longest day: 94km
  • Shortest day: 30km
  • Terrain: Gravel, sealed roads, farmland and state forest backroads
  • Biggest casualty: 12 flat tyres… and still counting sweat_smile
  • Overall verdict: Absolutely worth it

The Electric Bikes That Conquered The Orange 360

One of the biggest talking points from the tour was the variety of premium electric bikes successfully completing the route.

The bikes included:

  • Riese & Müller Delite4
  • Riese & Müller Homage4
  • Riese & Müller Nevo
  • Moustache Bikes Open XRoad 3
  • Orbea Muga 20
  • Orbea Kemen
  • Orbea Rise
  • Focus SAM² 6.9
  • Focus JAM² 6.7
  • Focus Aventura² 6.8

The common denominator? Preparation.

With long gravel climbs and remote sections, battery capacity and bike setup mattered enormously. Our biggest recommendation for anyone considering the Orange 360 is to have at least 1000Wh of battery capacity available.

The Biggest Lesson From The Week
Preparation. Preparation. Preparation.

The success of this trip wasn’t luck.

Every rider who completed the Orange 360 benefited from proper preparation before the tour began:

  • Bike setup and servicing
  • Training rides
  • Battery planning
  • Tyre selection
  • Repair equipment
  • Nutrition and hydration planning

When you prepare properly, adventures like this become not just achievable — but incredibly enjoyable.

And that’s exactly what the EBB Owners Club is designed to help customers do.

At Electric Bikes Brisbane, we don’t just sell electric bikes. We help riders build the confidence, skills and community to take on bigger adventures than they ever thought possible.

The Orange 360 was another perfect example of that.
