Ground Up Frame Re-design.To accomodate the 625Wh Bosch Smart System power tube battery Focus rotated the Bosch CX motor to allow the battery to sit low in the down tube and help keep the weight low down in the bike.

The battery is still removable. However to increase frame stiffness and reduce weight the opening for battery removal is at the bottom of the downtube, protected by a sturdy skid plate. This means the frame wall thickness can be reduced to deliver the same stiffness at a lower weight than the previous larger cut out dual wall frame design.
