Mid-range all-mountain carbon eMTB.  The Focus Jam2 8.8 eMTB is a mid-range model in the new all-mountain carbon Jam2 range.  Focus have upped the ante with some big upgrades including 4-bar linkage and a new frame to accommodate the Smart System Bosch CX motor and 750Wh battery. 

The Jam2 8.8 delivers all of the major upgrades in the carbon All Mountain / Trail Focus eMTB range and comes with a very reasonable price tag.  Plus you still get 160mm travel upfront with the FOX 36 Rhythm fork, 4-piston Magura MT5 hydraulic disc brakes, 12-speed Shimano Deore XT gearing and Minion DHF/R tyres.

Bosch Smart System. You get the Bosch 750Wh powertube battery as standard, which means more laps, bigger days, or more time in Turbo. Download the Bosch eBike flow app to unlock customisable rider modes, fitness and performance data, as well as security features. Add the Bosch eBike Alarm and Connect Module to add a integrated 100dB alarm and GPS tracking to your pride and joy.

Ground Up Frame Redesign.To accomodate the new 750Wh Bosch Smart System power tube battery Focus rotated the Bosch Race CX motor to allow the battery to sit low in the down tube and help keep the weight low down in the bike.

The battery is still removable however to increase frame stiffness and reduce weight the opening for battery removal is at the bottom of the downtube, protected by a sturdy skid plate. 

The Jam2 8.8 eMTB has a full carbon frame with alloy chain stay and rocks a stunning two-tone paint finish with a choice of two frame colours. The Jam2 bikes also now have a fully active 4-bar rear suspension linkage which is paired with a Fox Float DPS rear shock on the 8.8.

Slack or slacker? For more aggressive trails you can slacken the head angle from 65.5 to 64.5 using the rotatable headset cups. This matches the Sam2 6.9 in its least slack setting.
