Orbea have taken a different approach to the traditional usually-heavy multipurpose urban ebike. Their aim was to build a robust and comfortable ebike that was as light and slim as possible, and was also easy to ride without power if necessary. The result is the Orbea Kemen. A bike that is beautiful and clean to look at and has the capability to be a workhorse as well as a fast and fun urban runaround. 

To create the sleek look, light weight, rideability and robustness needed for the Kemen ebike Orbea designed a brand new frame that can accommodate the top equipment for performance and lighter weight. The Kemen has allterrain geometry and a strong hydroformed aluminium frame with high-polished welds that not only looks beautiful but is extra-strong and comfortable to ride.

Orbea use the Shimano EP8 motor which is not only very strong with 85Nm but is also compact, lightweight and offers the least resistance of any motor when pedalling without power. They achieve their sleek clean lines by routing all cabling through the frame and the frame also houses the large 540Wh high-density battery. If up to 5 hours of riding isn't enough there is also the option to mount a 252Wh range extender. 

The Orbea Kemen models have slightly narrower 2.25" slicker tires and the Kemen 10 is equipped with top-of-the-range componentry. It uses Shimano XT 11-speed gears with linkglide, a Fox 34 Float AWL fork with 100 mm travel and a lighting system from Lezyne with 1,000 lumens of light for night riding. Also fully compatible with the rear axles used by follow me or tow along baby carriages.
