Andrew recently took advantage of the 'Try a GSD for a week for free' trial to see how it could be used in family life with his wife, an infrequent cyclist, and their two kids. Here's what he has to say about how it went.
Overall, how was your experience with the #GSDWeek trial?
I found the bike great fun to ride and very practical. It was quite liberating to be able to put a backpack on the front rack and the kids on the back, with space to put shopping etc in the panniers. I didn't have to worry about too little space for a fun outing. Electric Bikes Brisbane was highly responsive and genuinely interested in setting the bike up to meet our family's needs.

What did you use the GSD for?
Lots. Going to swimming lessons, the park, the local supermarket, daycare, work as well as for local rides for fun with the kids on the bike path.
Did anything surprise you?
Yes, the handling while fully loaded with children was very good.
You entered this trial to see how it could be used in family life. How did that go?
I think the GSD is a good candidate instead of a second car.
I ride to work and for recreation regularly however my wife is not a frequent cyclist. Having the ebike reduced some barriers such as hills but there will be more adjustment required with the general life arrangements and routines for her to use it as regularly.
