We welcome their 2020 range - an outstanding game-changing selection of nearly a dozen top-quality dual suspension eMTBs.
About the Rocky Mountain Powerplay E-MTB
The Rocky Mountain Bicycle Co is based in the mountain biking mecca of British Columbia, near Vancouver's North Shore, and it is a legendary brand in mountain biking circles, particularly for pioneering what is now known as 'freeriding'. In their 35-year history they have always pushed the boundaries.
Rocky Mountain have taken the same pioneering approach with their electric bike range. They chose to design their ebikes from the ground up. This included developing their own electric drive system, the 'Powerplay' which is powered by Dyname mid-drive motor, so they could retain the ride quality of their highly evolved non-motorized bikes and address some of the downfalls of other motor systems.
The result is the Powerplay systems which is incredibly powerful and very responsive particularly when climbing (see the 'Climbing Ain't Dead' video below!) Their ebikes also come with large 672Wh capacity batteries and the entire electric drive system is designed to be easy to service. Being able to retain the geometry and handling of the Rocky Mountain mountain bike platform, the 'Powerplay' electric mountain bike range allows riders to do things that they have only previously dreamed of. Freeride definitely ain't dead with these machines!
