  • - Heart rate data tracking
  • - Faster unlocking with ebike lock
  • - Smarter navigation with saved favourites
  • - A new "Trick Check" function

After-Market Accessories and Hardware: Summary

Alongside these software upgrades, Bosch has also released new hardware to improve usability on every ride, notably:

  • - A 12A Fast Charger for the Bosch Smart System ebikes
  • - A Vertical Mount Smartphone Grip

More on all these below....

Bosch Flow App: New Features via Performance Update 2.0

Higher Torque and Power - 120Nm Torque and 600% Support

While many riders are content with 85Nm, or 100Nm that the prior software update provides, there is no doubt that torque and power numbers are grabbing headlines right now. With 2.0, Bosch provide the option to get more from your ebike now with the latest release.

  • - Maximum torque: you can increase to up to 120 Nm
  • - Support ratio: up to 600%
  • - Drivetrain Tensioner: optimises motor control and minimizes play in the drivetrain for more direct response and greater control
  • - Extended Boost: more adjustability

The above updates apply to the Gen 5 CX, CX-R and Cargo motors. However riders of the new Bosch Performance PX motor will be able to access the 600% support ratio with this update also.

Heart Rate Data Tracking

Advanced Performance Tracking with Heart Rate Data | Electric Bikes Brisbane

Sport-focused riders can now take their training to the next level. Heart rate data—previously visible only during rides—can now be stored and analysed post-ride.

What’s new:

  •  Average heart rate recorded per ride
  •  Full heart rate progression graphs
  •  Improved workload and effort analysis

This allows for more structured training, helping riders optimise performance whether commuting or tackling long-distance rides.

Faster Unlocking with eBike Lock

Key improvement:

Your smartphone acts as a digital key, meaning less waiting and quicker ride starts—especially useful for daily commuters.

Smarter Navigation with Saved Favourites

12A Fast Charger

This is a welcome announcement! Bosch has at last announced a new fast charger for its Smart System e-bike batteries and drives.

Thanks to GaN technology, the new Bosch 12A charger is said to charge up to three times faster than the previous Bosch charger - with low weight (< 1kg) and pack size.  Bosch claims a charging capacity of 500 watts. A Powertube 800 should thus recover 50 per cent capacity in around one hour of charging.
