What is a Front Loader electric bike?

Front Loaders cargo e-bikes are also known as Box or Bucket bikes. The main cargo carrying area is located in front of the rider, often in a box shape. Front loader cargo electric bikes have a low centre of gravity and can often carry larger cargo loads.

Why choose a front loader ebike over a longtail ebike?

If you are a confident rider and prefer the additional balance that comes with the lower centre of gravity, then the front loader may be for you. Front-loaders can often carry bigger loads too, some up to three children, and offer a great option for carrying pets and mixed cargo.

How many children can you carry in a front loader cargo ebike?

Most front-loader (box) cargo eBikes can safely carry 1–2 children, depending on the seating configuration and weight limits.

Some larger models — such as the Riese & Müller Load 75 — can carry up to 3 children when fitted with the appropriate factory-approved seating setup.
