Using Walk Assist and Other Tips For Handling Your E-Bike
If you are new to electric bikes (or reacquainting yourself to e-bikes in general) you may find your e-bike a bit awkward and heavy to move around on the ground at first. Let's face it. They are a bit heavier than a normal bike and may also seem bigger than normal.
Most quality electric bikes will come equipped with a walk assist function which can help enormously. However, how you position yourself when handling your bike and how you approach certain situations are important too.
To help you manage and feel more comfortable when moving your e-bike around we demonstrate three simple techniques for the following scenarios:
- How to hold and control your ebike when you move it around and also when you need to walk it down something
- How to get it over eg. a roadside curb; and
- How to push it up a hill with the help of the walk assist mode
