The Wild LT is Orbea's new flagship, moving from Bosch to the Avinox M2S motor — the most powerful production eMTB motor available, with 130Nm of continuous torque, up to 150Nm, and peak power up to 1,500W in Boost mode. Frame DNA comes from the Orbea Rallon World Cup enduro platform: 170mm of travel, a low and centred mass, and "Steep 'n' Deep" geometry built to stay composed when speed and consequences are highest.

Available in 7 models across full carbon (OMR) and hydro alloy frames, in full 29" or dedicated mullet (29"/27.5") configuration. The flagship M-LTD RS and M-Team RS models add Orbea's exclusive RS EcoSystem — a proprietary electronics package integrating motor, dropper, and rear shock control. All Wild LT models run the RS Tune firmware, which caps power at 750W for UCI race compliance, makes the motor 5× more reactive to pedal rotation, 2× more sensitive to pedal force, and extends range by up to 25% over the standard Avinox tune.

Orbea Wild TR — Bosch Performance Line CX & CX-R | The Proven Full-Power Platform

The Orbea Wild TR is Orbea's next-generation Bosch-powered full-power eMTB — a new name chosen to distinguish it from the Wild LT and reflect its updated suspension kinematics. Where the Wild LT pushes into next-generation motor territory, the Wild TR builds on one of the most trusted and widely supported motor ecosystems in the eMTB world.

The Wild TR runs the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 or CX-R motor, delivering up to 120Nm of torque and 750W of peak power. The CX-R (Race) variant adds a titanium crankshaft, ceramic bearings, and Race mode — an immediately aggressive full-power delivery tuned for technical climbing and competition. The Bosch ecosystem brings the Kiox 400C top-tube display, the Bosch Flow app for motor tuning, ABS braking options, and compatibility with Shimano Di2 Free Shift for gear changes without pedalling. Battery options are 600Wh or 750Wh Bosch PowerTube, with 150mm of travel front and rear across the carbon range. Pricing starts from $9,999.

Orbea Rise LT — Shimano EP801 RS | The Lightweight Alternative

The Rise LT takes a fundamentally different approach. Where the Wild LT and Wild TR are built to maximise motor power and trail capability, the Rise LT is designed to minimise the motor's presence — an eMTB that rides, handles, and feels as close to an analogue mountain bike as possible, while still providing meaningful assistance on the climbs that matter.

It runs the Shimano EP801 RS motor — 85Nm of torque, refined and natural power delivery, and a sensor system analysing cadence and torque to deliver smooth, precise assistance without intrusion. Battery options are 420Wh or 630Wh, with an optional 210Wh range extender via bottle-cage mounts. Travel is 150mm (LT) or 140mm (SL), keeping the package light and nimble — the SL adds a sharper head angle and shorter fork for a more XC-oriented ride. Complete builds start well under 20kg.

The Rise LT is for: experienced riders who want the quality of the pedalling platform as much as the descending capability — riders who love mountain biking for what it demands and want just enough assist to take the sting out of the climbs, without the motor holding them back past the 25km/h cutoff.

Frequently Asked Questions About Orbea Electric Mountain Bikes

I've ridden a regular eMTB before — how different does the Wild LT's Avinox motor actually feel on the trail?

The biggest difference is responsiveness, not just power. Avinox reacts to pedal input roughly 5× faster than a standard motor tune, and with RS Tune engaged it's 2× more sensitive to pedal force — so power delivery feels more like an extension of your own effort rather than a lag-then-surge. On punchy climbs at Gap Creek or through the tight switchbacks at Ironbark, that translates to noticeably more control at low speed compared to a Bosch or Shimano system, where the trade-off is a slightly less "instant" but more familiar and predictable feel.

Should I buy the Wild LT now or wait, given it's a new platform?

Is the Rise LT powerful enough for serious SE QLD trails, or is it just for casual riding?

It's a common misconception that a lightweight eMTB means a compromise on capability. The Rise LT's 85Nm from the Shimano EP801 RS is genuinely less power than the Wild LT or Wild TR, but the bike is built to ride like an unassisted trail bike with just enough help on the climbs — riders take it on the same black-diamond terrain at Old Hidden Vale and Tewantin, just with a different riding style that leans on momentum and line choice rather than motor torque. It's not the right choice if you want maximum assistance on the steepest pinches, but it's not a lesser bike either — it's a different philosophy.
